Thanks, Pat Rogers Harley Davidson; Concord, NC

Knowing how to ride a bike, is great! but knowing how your bike operates and what to do if it doesn't, is perhaps the next smartest way to ride other than riding with a helmet....

AD learned the hard way, when she was out cruising on Harley and got to a sushi restaurant.  The Nigh Rod was blinking "r 128".. "it was the first time I had seen that on my Harley's dashboard!! I was confused, hadn't read my manual and I was convinced that r 128 was blinking because I was riding Harley too hard!! I got really lucky though.. next to the sushi restaurant was Pat Rogers Concord, North Carolina Harley Davidson store I ran over, looking like a "diva in distress", and met one of the friendliest Harley guys ever.. their service and parts guy smiled and said, to bring Harley over and he would take a look at him; I said, thanks... after he looked at it, he smiled saying, no worries. He set my clock, told me what everything else meant, and then explained that the "r" stood for my reserve tank and that I had 128 more miles before I would need more gas!! lol I felt silly, but relieved!! lol .. I told him thanks and I would be coming back to see him soon after I took some time to read my owner's manual!!

It's cool riding a bike, but its cooler to know what the heck you riding and how the heck to operate it!!

This has inspired me... my new lieasure reading is my owner's manual and I'm mapping out all the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Stores on Route 1961.
